The interwoven expanded metal grating along the back and seat surface is carefully spaced to allow for air to flow through the unit and help accelerate drying after rains. The back of the bench features some charmingly quirky decoration in the form of a duo of bone-shaped etches. The powder-coated paint finishing of the frame and the textured polyethylene on the seat makes for resilient layering that will stand up to years of exposure to the sun, wind, and rain.
