The Trackride without Platforms allows children to soar through the air without touching the ground. This model does not have platforms at the ends of the track, making it better suited for older kids. Simply by grabbing the Trackride’s comfortable handle and hanging on tight, they will be rapidly and safely transported to the other side, where another child can then use it to ride back. For additional momentum and a faster ride, kids can get a short running start before they grab onto the handle. It is set at an appropriate height so that almost all kids should have no difficulty reaching it, and taller kids can simply lift their legs to avoid having them drag along the ground. This unique and exciting activity is bound to become the favorite of kids on any playground.

Highlights:

  • Exciting ride across the playground
  • Children will wait to ride on this
  • Helps children work on their socialization and cooperation skills
  • Takes only a small portion of the playground

Frequently Asked Questions

What age range is track ride playground equipment appropriate for?
Trackride equipment without platforms works best for children ages 8-12 who can safely support their own body weight while hanging from the handle. Younger children under 8 typically lack the upper body strength and coordination needed to use this equipment safely. Your site plan should consider the mixed-age groups using your playground when deciding between platform and non-platform models.
How much clearance space does a Trackride require for safe installation?
Plan for 6 feet of clearance on all sides of the track ride for safe operation per playground safety standards. The track length itself varies by model, but most installations require a minimum 40-foot straight run between anchor points. At AAA State of Play, we help you calculate the exact footprint needed based on your available space and local safety requirements.
Can multiple children use the Trackride at the same time?
No, the Trackride is designed for single-rider use only. Only one child should be on the track at any time to prevent collisions and injuries. The handles are engineered to support one child's weight, and allowing multiple riders creates liability risks that violate manufacturer safety guidelines.
